Nelly`s Latin Restaurant in Monticello

Awesome food!! The goat was delicious, almost melts in your mouth. The portions are huge. The staff is very friendly, and the place is very clean. I also got pork mofongo to go, also very delicious. Looks like this is going to be our favorite Dominican restaurant.

Very, very tasty Dominican food. Everything is fresh. The pernil and chicken is deeeelish. Their rice and habichuelas also. The staff is very helpful and accommodating and polite. Huge servings and reasonably priced. Best food!

Awful food, disgusting, same the one in Monticello, use to be great when was running by Nellie but since the sold the place the food is terrible, waste of money 🤮

The best you can find in Sullivan county NY. The staff are very nice. The food is very very good. Try Habichuelas con Dulce my favourite dessert.

It's a 5 all day from ya main man daym drops lol. All jokes aside, the food was delicious I recommend the roast pork shoulder with a side of platanos and some rice and beans.. amazing!

Food so good your taste buds will slap your momma. Bread pudding is to die for. You will need to order a to go plate before you leave that's how good the food is.

Average food! Very filling. But I really wished the waitress were more attentive and welcoming. Not a big fan of the “chipotle“ style concept.

The most authentic Spanish food north of Jersey City. So delicious. Mamey shake is killer, and the empanadas hit the spot!!

On Saturday evening my husband and I stopped in to Nellies because we wanted to bring a little something home that was different from our regular “easy dinners”. We remembered having empanadas at the Bagel Festival last summer and thought they were delicious. Unfortunately it was not so this time. We purchased 8 of them to take home. They had absolutely NO flavor! It tasted like a small amount of crumbled hamburger meat! Too much dough for the amount of filling! I feel like we wasted that $16.00. I would not recommend ordering them there! I must say that the 2 kinds of rice and beans that we purchased were very good.

This was an amazing place to eat for reasonably priced delicious food but that was when the owner was Nelly. Sadly she's no longer there and the food's not as good the prices went up and the serving sizes decreased. It's no longer worth it but Nelly still has the bar around here.

Treat yourself to some authentic Spanish cuisine. I dropped in town for a few days and was craving some real home style food. This place did not disappoint! Very tasty and reasonably priced. A gem out here in Monticello.

Lovely Dominican restaurant. Full of flavor and packed in great portions, the menu is straight out of the Dominican Republic. Great for curious foodies and trueblood Dominicans alike. Fantastic customer service as well, plus very clean!

We came to Nelly's on a whim, and it was wonderful! The food was full of flavor and not at all spicy. The roast pork and steak and onions we're delicious, especially with the yellow rice and beans. I highly recommend eating here!

Great place to try some Spanish food. The food is different but really good. I'm still trying the different types of food. The Modungo and Oxtail soups were very good.

I’m Puerto Rican from Brooklyn. I hadn’t eaten Spanish food in 2 weeks while doing business in Liberty NY. I rolled the dice and made a 13 mile drive to Nelly’s. The food was exactly what I wanted. Hands down authentic Spanish food.
